Blurb:

When best friends Jamie Eckert and Derek Duran realized they were in love, they took their relationship to the next level. But then Derek’s budding music career took off, and so did Derek.

Twenty years later, Jamie still lives in the small town of Ashbury, Virginia, where he grew up. He’s grown up and moved on — now he owns the family funeral home business and is raising Riley, his six-year-old adopted daughter.

But emotions Jamie thought long buried are stirred up again when he gets an early morning removal call. The deceased is Derek’s mother and Riley’s babysitter, Mrs. Duran. Now Derek’s back in town for the funeral, and he turns to Jamie for support … in more ways than one.

Angry at Derek for not keeping in touch, and angrier at himself for still loving the man who left him behind, Jamie is torn between his professional duty and his feelings for Derek. Will he be able to put aside his past with Derek to carry out Mrs. Duran’s final wishes? Or is Derek interested in rekindling their relationship after all this time?

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Love Wins (LGBT Erotic Romance Stories)

Deadline: December 31, 2016
Payment: 50% net royalties paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, renewable

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks. They will have the same covers as the stories released in this series last year.

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Last year our Love Wins series was very successful, but we know many authors missed out due to limited space on our release schedule. This year, we’re opening the series to anyone interested in submitting.

To celebrate the recent advances made in LGBT rights throughout the world, we’re looking for stories of men and women who finally get the chance to formally declare their love for each other. These stories need to focus on a wedding ceremony of some sort, but we’ll leave the details up to you.

TMaybe your couple has been together for fifty years and can now tie the knot, but one of them is getting cold feet. Or perhaps two men meet at someone else’s wedding and end up at their own. How about a bridesmaid who meets the girl of her dreams at the bridal shop when she goes for a fitting for her best friend’s wedding? Or maybe the wedding singer hits the perfect note with the caterer after the reception.

Whatever your scenario, make it sweet and sexy! Stories may include characters from other titles you’ve previously published with JMS Books.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Stories must be between 12,000 to 38,000 words
  • Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
  • Romance must be MM or FF ONLY
  • Stories must involve characters getting married or planning to marry
  • Stories must be contemporary
  • Adult stories only (no YA)
