Frequently Asked Questions

I get a lot of email asking the same things over and over again, so I decided to put up an FAQ page to address these questions. Unfortunately, I know most people won’t read it. But still, here is it.

Will you link to my page?
If you have a blog and you’d like to exchange links with me, then yes. Please send me an e-mail and we’ll talk. But if you have a site that’s nothing but links and Adsense ads, then no.

Will you host my blog tour?
No. Nine times out of ten when I’m asked this, the author has no clue what type of books I write myself and thus what sort of audience my blog targets. So no, I won’t host blog tours, especially for religious memoirs or southern cookbooks or poetry chapbooks. At the moment, I don’t get a lot of hits on my blog as it is, so I’m probably not a good stop for you anyway. Sorry.

Will you review my book?
Hmm … maybe. I run Rainbow Reviews, a website that specializes in reviews of GLBT books. If you have a book that fits our requirements for review, then please submit it to us. However, I probably won’t be the reviewer who gets it. I take years to write a review and, to be completely honest, few of the books submitted to us interest me.

If you’re looking specifically for me to review your book, my first question is why? I mean, seriously, why me? If you can answer that sufficiently, and if your book isn’t erotica or doesn’t deal with your relationship with Jesus, then e-mail me the blurb and we’ll see. When reading “for fun,” I prefer non-fiction, young adult, queer fiction, and sci-fi/fantasy. Throw in a virus or two and I’m hooked.

Will you feature me or my book on your blog?
Probably not. My blog is mostly a marketing tool I use to promote myself and my own writing. If you are an author of GLBT fiction, you’re welcome to join the Rainbow Reviews Promo Blog, which I also run, or request an author interview from Rainbow Reviews. Otherwise, sorry.
